Jayalalithaa moves HC

Updated - November 17, 2021 05:53 am IST - Bangalore:

AIADMK general secretary and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Friday moved the Karnataka High Court questioning the order of the Special Court, trying the disproportionate assets case against her, rejecting her plea to prepare a fresh translation of certain evidences in English by incorporating the suggestions from the interpreter.

Justice K.N. Keshavanarayan, before whom Ms. Jayalalithaa's petition came up for hearing, has ordered issue of notice to the Special Public Prosecutor, who has been arguing the case against her. The High Court adjourned further hearing on the petition to March 8.
