Five more committees formed for classical Tamil conference

The State Government has announced the forming of five more committees for the forthcoming World Classical Tamil Conference in Coimbatore.

An official communication from the Government said Pongalur N. Palanisamy, Minister for Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry had been appointed as the Chairman of the Accommodation Committee, while Dr. P.Umanath, District Collector Coimbatore and Anshul Mishra, Corporation Commissioner, Coimbatore has been named as Co-ordinators.

Veerapandi S. Arumugam will be the chairman of the Conference Venue Committee. S. Ramasundaram, Principal Secretary to Government will be the Co-ordinator.

Parithi Ellamvazhuthi will be the Chairman of Public Relations and Advertising Committee. N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu, Kalanidhi Maran, Sun Television Network, Ramachandra Adithan, Malai Murasu, G. Muthusamy, Secretary to the Government and T.M. Anbarasan, Labour Minister will be vice-chairmen.

Venkatachalam, Mayor, Coimbatore, will chair the Coimbatore Corporation Development Committee. Niranjan Mardi, Secretary to Government and Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Commissioner Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, will be the members.

M.R.K. Paneerselvam, Health Minister will be the chairman of the Medical and Health Committee. V.K. Subburaj, Health and Family Welfare Secretary, K.G.Bakthavatsalam of K.G.Hospital and Dr. Gem Palanivelu will serve as co-ordinators.
