Final poll rolls for Pennagaram released

The final electoral rolls for the Pennagaram Assembly constituency were released by P. Amutha, District Collector and Election Officer, here on Thursday.

Of the 32,770 claim forms received for inclusion of names in the roll, 19,510 were accepted, she said.

As regards deletion of names, only four forms were accepted out of the 61 received. Names of 400 dead persons had been deleted after thorough field verification and receiving death certificates from village administrative officers concerned. Also 117 names had been deleted for duplicate entry, she said.

As per the revised roll, the total number of voters is 1,98,525 with male accounting for 1,01,695 and female 96,830.
