Currency Coin to be released on Anna Centenary on Sept 15

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will release currency coins of Rs. 5 denomination, bearing the image of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai, at a function on September 15 in Chennai as part of the centenary celebration of the former Chief Minister.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who will receive the coins, will preside over the function, which will mark the culmination of the centenary celebration.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy will release publications on Annadurai at the function to be held at the Madras University Centenary Auditorium here. Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will launch a website on Annadurai and release some other publications. Finance Minister K. Anbazhagan will be among others who will take part in the celebration.
