Recognition
Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), a funding agency working in biodiversity hotspots in various countries, has recognised S. Bharathi Dasan, the secretary of Arulagam - a non profit organisation working on vulture conservation in Tamil Nadu - as one of the 15 ‘Hotspot Heroes’ for outstanding conservation efforts. Mr. Bharathi Dasan has been selected from the India and Sri Lanka region.
He will receive the award at the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s World Conservation Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii,
on September 4.
