Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi despatched 135 MT of boiler components to the Sterlite Industries India Limited (SIL), Tuticorin. Binu Raphel, Project Manager, Sterlite Industries, flagged off the consignment, loaded on five trailors here on Wednesday. After the flagging off, Mr. Raphel expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project.
Earlier, C. Athithyan, AGM (Commercial-FB), BHEL, handed over the despatch documents to Mr. Binu Raphel in the presence of C. S. Ramachandran, General Manager (Commercial and Marketing- Fossil Boilers), P. T. Chelladurai, AGM (Shipping), Mr. Ananthakrishnan, AGM (Commercial-FB) and other senior officials of BHEL.
BHEL is executing an order for setting up to 80 MW Captive Power Plant, valued at Rs. 80.35 crore, at Sterlite Industries, Tuticorin, a company belonging to Vedantha Group, a diversified and integrated metals and mining company, with principal operations located in India and Australia, a press release of the BHEL issued here on Wednesday said.
