Advocates boycott court

June 19, 2010 01:12 am | Updated 01:12 am IST - CHENNAI:

Advocates boycotted courts on Friday in response to a call by the Madras High Court Advocates Association in support of the demand to make Tamil the language of the High Court.

The indefinite fast by a group of advocates in the High Court building to press the demand entered the second day on Friday. However, some advocates attended to court work.

Leaders of various political parties met the fasting advocates and expressed their solidarity with them.
