Three persons surrendered before Andipatti Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday in connection with a murder case registered in Madurai.
The surrendered were P. Kalimuthu of Managiri, M. Selvam of Panaiyur and Balamurugan of Ulaganeri in Madurai. According to prosecution, the three had been assisting a moneylender, M. Pandi of Managiri, in collecting money from borrowers. At one stage, the three did not settle accounts properly and swindled money from Pandi. The moneylender reportedly hired goondas and threatened the three to settle dues.
In a fit of anger, the three murdered Pandi in Madurai. Karupayurani police recovered the body from near Idayakottai Road on Sunday.
