Ezhilarasi (35) of Buddha Nagar 2nd Street in Vengikkal, Kavitha (12) and Pradeepan (10) both children from the neighbourhood were trying to retrieve a badminton cork from the terrace of neigbhouring house that was remain close.

They used an iron pipe to retrieve it. But the pipe came in contact with the high tension electric cable passing throught the neigbouring house.

All of a sudden the three were thrown off and injured. They were rushed to the Government Tiruvannamalai Medical College Hospital. Though the incident has nothing to do with the power connection in their house, the electrical wiring, and switches in the house were charred obviously due to the short circuit.

Even the TANGEDCO officials who visited the site could not comprehend the relation between the accident and the short circuit in the house.
