A total of 24 specialists have met the minimum standards to qualify for the award of Diploma in Allergy and Asthma (DAA) offered by the Christian Medical College, at the Graduation of DAA to be held here on January 14. According to a CMC release, DAA is a year-long distance learning course offered to qualified physicians specialised in medicine, paediatrics and pulmonary medicine. Training is offered also to doctors who are already practicing allergy and have established a reputation for a good academic practice, without formal allergy training.
DAA is endorsed by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). The intake of candidates has been increased from 20 to 30 on account of demand.
Dr. Sundeep Salvi, Director of the Chest Research Foundation, Pune, will be the chief guest at the Graduation.
