20 fake doctors arrested in Perambalur district in two days

Twenty quacks have been arrested by the police in Perambalur district in the past two days as part of a State-wide drive. Tirumal, Resident Medical Officer, and Sasikala, Superintendent, Government Headquarters Hospital, Perambalur, told reporters on Tuesday that it was mostly people in rural areas who take the service of these quacks . People should visit only qualified doctors.

Perambalur has a Government Headquarters Hospital, and Krishnapuram, Veppur, Valikandapuram, Karai, and Vettaikudikadu have taluk hospitals.
