12-year-old completes B.A. Hindi equivalent

A Standard VI student of The Indian Public School, Erode, B. Alagu Aditya, has achieved a feat by completing the advanced-level Praveen Uttarardh exam of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha.

The Praveen Uttaradh examination is equivalent to B.A. Hindi, and figures top in the latter of nine exams.

Alagu Aditya had started appearing for the exams from the age of seven years and sat for Praveen Uttaradh after emerging successful in Parichaya, Prathamic, Madhyama, Rashtrabhsha, Praveshika, Visharad Poorvardh, Visharad Uttaradh and Praveen Poorvarth.

Interestingly, he completed the last two exams through self-study.

According to Rukmani, Hindi trainer for the first seven exams, the candidate has an uncanny ability for comprehending the subject.

By securing 75.5 per cent in Praveen Uttarardh exam, Alagu Aditya has surpassed the feat achieved by a rank-holder in 2014 at the South-India level. The Andhra student Sri Dharini had completed seven exams and scored 72 per cent.

The B.A. Hindi degree qualifies Alagu Aditya for teaching the subject after attaining 18 years by registering with the Sabha.
