Suspected militants loot bank in Kashmir

Suspected militants today looted a bank branch in Shopian district of Kashmir, police said.

“Two to three gunmen, believed to be militants, entered into the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch at Harmain in Shopian at 11.00 a.m. and looted some cash,” a police official said.

He said the gunmen managed to escape after committing the robbery.

The bank officials are in the process of ascertaining the amount of cash looted from the branch, the official said.
