Stalin meets Kanimozhi in trial court

Senior DMK leader M.K. Stalin on Tuesday met his half-sister Kanimozhi, arrested in the 2G spectrum case, at a trial court here and spent nearly 40 minutes with her.

Mr. Stalin, accompanied by DMK parliamentary party leader T.R. Baalu and other senior leaders came to the Patiala House court complex at 10 am and waited for half-an-hour for Ms. Kanimozhi to come to the court room.

Mr. Stalin chatted with Ms. Kanimozhi and former Telecom Minister A Raja for over 40 minutes and asked them about the facilities in the Tihar Jail where they are lodged.

Ms. Kanimozhi and Mr. Raja enquired about the health of M Karunanidhi from Mr. Stalin. Seated between Ms. Kanimozhi and Mr. Raja, Mr. Stalin asked them how they were coping with the condition in the jail. Ms. Kanimozhi also asked Mr. Stalin about the well-being of her family members in Chennai.

Mr. Karunanidhi had met his daughter at the Tihar Jail yesterday and spent nearly an hour with her.
