Sheena Bora case: Did Peter know everything?

September 01, 2015 03:51 am | Updated March 28, 2016 02:45 pm IST - MUMBAI:

Like many, the former Star India CEO, Peter Mukherjea, expressed surprise when news of his step daughter Sheena Bora’s murder broke this past week.

But top sources in Mumbai Police claim that he could have known about the murder all along and chosen not to reveal it. “Yes, we are ascertaining this angle,” said a senior police officer, adding: “We will get his statement recorded soon but before that we have to get into the economics linked to the crime. We are gathering all the financial details after which we will call Mr. Mukherjea again.”

Last week, Mr. Mukherjea submitted a copy of his passport, confirming that he was abroad at the time of the murder. The officer said that his detailed statement was likely to be recorded in a day or two.
