Describing the issue of sexual harassment allegations made against Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi by a former Supreme Court staff member as a “very serious development”, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Gowda on Saturday emphasised the need to ensure that justice is done to all parties concerned.

Replying to a question at a press conference convened by the Goa Congress on Saturday, Mr. Gowda said that the accuser, who claimed that she and her family had been harassed and dismissed from jobs, should get justice.

“It is imperative that justice is done to all parties concerned, justice is seen to be done, appropriate procedures are followed and investigations happen to ensure that as far as the Chief Justice is concerned, his concern that there is some larger malicious process going on here, is also addressed,” he said.
