The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea seeking an independent probe into the death of film actor Sridevi.

The actor died on February 24 in her hotel room in Dubai.

A Bench of Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud dismissed the plea filed by one Sunil Singh.

He moved the apex court after the Delhi High Court, on March 9, refused to entertain his public interest litigation plea to probe her death, saying the authorities in India and Dubai had looked into the incident.
