Plea to revoke Sachin’s Bharat Ratna admitted

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has admitted a petition to revoke the Bharat Ratna awarded to cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar for allegedly using the “fame” the honour has brought him in “earning money by endorsing commercial products”.

Chief Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice K.K. Trivedi directed the Assistant Solicitor-General on Thursday to find out if the Supreme Court had issued regulations for Bharat Ratna winners and report in a week.
