A Supreme Court advocate on Saturday moved the apex court to order a CBI probe into the leak of the question papers for the Class 10 mathematics and Class 12 economics examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava said the incident reflects a collective failure on the part of the Centre and its agencies to protect the children and their future.
Mr. Srivastava said the question paper leak has shaken the faith of children in the role of the government as a custodian. The incident has “shaken their faith in the system, the law and order at a premature age”.
The petition said it was the bounden duty of the government to impart justice to the children.
