Pakistan National Security Adviser (NSA) Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said Pakistan was ready to hold NSA talks, and India was making his proposed meeting with Hurriyat leaders a condition. He termed the Ministry of External Affairs' statement on "force" sabotaging talks "hilarious".
At a press conference, Mr, Aziz questioned, "Is it conceivable that India would cancel first ministerial meeting on such a flimsy grounds relating to meeting with Hurriyat leaders?"
He said Pakistan's agenda for the talks were terrorism, reviewing progress of Ufa, and activation of CBMs.
He would go ahead with talks and carry dossiers with "evidence" of R&W's involvement in Balochistan.
"I am still prepared to go to New Delhi for NSA talks without any preconditions," he said.
On detention of Hurriyat leaders, Mr. Aziz said, "We are disturbed about the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, but if India doesn't call off the talks we will go ahead with them."
Reiterating that there is no meaningful dialogue with India possible without discussing Kashmir, he said, "India cannot wish it away."
