February 11, 2016 12:09 am | Updated November 17, 2021 05:08 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Former head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and accused in a sexual harassment case, R.K. Pachauri, in his new appointment at The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) would “provide guidance on the specific task of TERI’s expansion in the country and overseas,” says a letter by TERI’s new Director-General, Ajay Mathur, on April 8. Mr. Mathur, in the letter, also added that the organisation would “cooperate with law enforcement agencies and the courts whenever called upon to do so.” As the first assignment, Dr. Pachauri would organise a TERI Vision Retreat, an annual affair where the organisation moots its future. This year the theme would be on “Identifying Opportunities and Expanding TERI’s Global Presence,” according to an email sent by Dr. Pachauri to employees on February 9. The Hindu has viewed both these emails.
