Two dead, 7 injured as jeep overturns

Two persons were killed and seven other were injured on Wednesday when the jeep carrying them overturned at Hanty village on the busy Khandwa- Punasa road, some 70 km from here, police said.

The deceased were identified as Sriram Gurjar (40) and Santosh Gurjar, assistant-sub inspector Ganpati Chauhan of Mandhata police station said.

Of the injured, three were in serious condition and rushed to Indore for treatment.

The driver of the jeep lost control over the vehicle after a tyre burst, he said. - PTI
