Two CoBRA jawans injured in Chhattisgarh blast

A contingent of 206 Compact Battalion for Resolute Action unit was combing the restive forests in Sukma district when a pressure bomb planted by Maoists exploded.

Two constable of the CRPF's Commando Battalion For Resolute Action (CoBRA) were injured when a pressure bomb planted by the Maoists exploded in Sukma district of South Chhattisgarh.

“Constable C.K.Reddy and Tilakraj were injured in a pressure bomb explosion near Chintafuga village of Sukma . The incident took place when the COBRA team was out on a routing combing operation,” informed Santosh Singh, Sukma district Additional Superintendent of Police (SP).

Both the injured Jawans from 206 COBRA Battalion were sent to Raipur for further treatment by a chopper, Mr.Singh added.
