Maoists have called for boycott of elections

Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra will witness polling in three Assembly segments on Wednesday under heavy security cover, amid a boycott call by Maoists.

For security reasons, voting will take place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. in 893 polling centres, 232 of which have been identified as “sensitive,” the district information officer said.
