Three ultras of the banned Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad (JJMP) were killed in a gunfight with police in a forest in Lohardaga district on July 18, a police officer said.
The encounter took place in the Saheda Pat forest area, bordering Latehar district, Lohardaga Superintendent of Police Alok Priyadarshi said. The bodies of the three ultras and two AK-47s were recovered from the spot.
A search operation was on, the SP said.
