Thailand Princess visits rock carvings in Tripura

Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb received Thailand Princess Sirindhorn at Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya airport in Agartala on November 27, 2018.

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, sister of King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn, visited magnificent rock carvings depicting Hindu God and Goddess in Unakoti hill in north Tripura on Tuesday. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb received her at the Agartala airport from where she flew to Kailashahar, headquarters of Unakoti district.

Chief Minister, senior government and Thailand embassy officials accompanied her in a couple of Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper to Kailashahar. A media delegation was also accompanying her.

A large number of school students and people from different social segments held flags of India and Thailand, photo placards to welcome the Princess. The foreign delegates had lunch at the circuit house in Kailashahar before proceeding for Unakoti hill by road.
