Underlying the importance of participatory representation of all sections in the process of change, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav said that secularism alone can guarantee the country’s progress.
Unfazed by the criticism of his government’s policies by the Opposition parties, Mr. Yadav emphasised that equal opportunity is being given to all sections of the society to progress.
“While some forces want to stall the process of development and walk the ‘other path’ (“doosra raasta”), the Samajwadi Party has a firm belief in secularism, which will take the country forward,” Mr. Yadav said at the inauguration of the “Rafiq-ul-Mulk Mulayam Singh Yadav Urdu I.A.S. Study Centre” at Para on Mohaan Road on Monday.
“Netaji has always laid stress on the welfare of all sections and the study centre named after him would be instrumental in translating his principles into action,” the Chief Minister said.
The Urdu I.A.S. Study Centre has been set up under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy.
Azam Khan laudedSignificantly, Mr. Yadav lauded the Minority Welfare Minister, Mohammad Azam Khan, who was present, for his efforts to establish the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and schools in Rampur where the “students are being imparted quality education at very little fees.”
