Taking a serious note of the search warrant issued by Roberts Bosco, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao permitting police to search for absconding former Goa Minister and MLA Francisco 'Miccky' Pacheco at the Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar’s official residence, Goa government has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.

The letter expresses complaints of national embarrassment caused by the warrant and seeks justice, sources in the State government told The Hindu on Tuesday.

Miccky Pacheco has been convicted for assaulting a junior engineer.

The warrant was subsequently stayed by Sessions Court, Margao following review petition filed by the State government against it.
