Four armed robbers looted Rs. 50 lakh from a cash van on Monday when it was on its way to deposit the money in another bank near village Rawalwas Khurd, 15 km from Hisar-Bhadra road.

The cash belonged to Haryana Gramin Bank and the van was on its way to deposit Rs 10 lakh in Punjab National Bank’s Arya Nagar branch and Rs 50 lakh in the Rawalwas Khurd branch, police said.

A bank official, van driver and a guard were on their way to deposit Rs 60 lakh in the two branches, Gramin Bank manager (Hisar) Deepak Bhardwaj said.

Lal has been admitted to a private hospital here where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
