Panaji: The Goa State Women’s Commission on Monday directed the State-owned Kadamaba Transport Corporation (KTC) to remove condom advertisements featuring actress Sunny Leone from its buses.

The directive comes following a protest petition submitted by right-wing Hindu women’s outfit Ranaragini to the commission. The petition demanded removal of pictures of women in contraceptive advertisements, on buses and other public places, to “save women from embarrassment and protect their dignity.”

The commission’s chairperson Vidya Shet Tanavade said notices have been issued to the all parties concerned.
