The BJP rank and file will feel the absence of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on his birthday on Thursday.

Former Panaji MLA Sidharth Kuncolienkar, said, “We all will feel his absence at the celebrations being held in his honour, which includes pooja and prayer at the Mahalaxmi temple followed by a blood donation camp at the State BJP headquarters.”

“Manohar bhai will not be there. But we are going to do everything which we otherwise used to do on his birthday,” he said confirming that Mr. Parrikar would not be participating in any of the events. Asked if there would be some informal celebration at Mr. Parrikar’s private residence, Mr. Kuncoliekar said that none had been planned.
