PM must be from a big party: Nitish

December 18, 2012 03:06 am | Updated July 12, 2016 05:04 am IST - PATNA:

In a tacit endorsement of BJP national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad’s statement, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said here on Monday that the prime ministerial nominee should be from a “big party.”

Mr. Prasad recently said the NDA’s candidate for the 2014 elections would be from the BJP. Asked to comment, Mr. Kumar said, “I think a leader from a big party should be the prime ministerial candidate. This has been my stand all the time. If Mr. Prasad is repeating this, where is the problem?”
