Two militants, including a Pakistani national, were killed in an anti-militancy operation in south Kashmir’s Kulgam on Monday evening.

“One Pakistani terrorist, code name Chacha, and one hybrid terrorist were killed (in the Kulgam encounter). Two police personnel were also injured,” Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said.

He said the injured policemen were evacuated to hospital. “The encounter is going on,” he added.

IGP Kumar said the slain militants had managed to escape a cordon operation recently in south Kashmir.

Four militants, including three Pakistani militants, have been killed in the past two days in Kashmir. Earlier, two Pakistanis were killed in Srinagar.
