Pakistan rangers on Thursday resorted to firing along the International Border as Border Security Force (BSF) men were undertaking some work at a Border Out Post in Jammu district.

“Pak rangers fired two to three rounds of small arms fire in the air in Jammu sector’s BoP Abdullah areas, where BSF men were undertaking some work around 1030 hours today,” a police officer said.

There was no loss of life or injury to any one in the fire, he said, adding that the BSF did not retaliate but stopped the repair work as a precautionary measure.
