Indian authorities allowed a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft, with five military personnel on board, to land at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here for refuelling on Sunday afternoon.

The aircraft had taken off from Rawalpindi for Chittagong in Bangladesh. It had sought permission for refuelling at Lucknow which was granted after clearance from the Indian Air Force and other authorities. After a 50-minute refuelling break, it left for Chittagong, official sources said.

“There was no emergency,” District Magistrate Rajshekhar told The Hindu . Defence sources in Delhi said that it was a scheduled movement.
