The Haryana Government on Saturday approved the extension of Metro project from from YMCA Chowk in Faridabad to Ballabgarh and also decided to increase its contribution from Rs. 468.20 crore to Rs. 569.80 crore.
The State Cabinet took the decision on Saturday during a meeting here headed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, an official release said.
The project cost has been revised from Rs. 564 crore to Rs. 678 crore due to price escalation and increase in land cost, the release stated.
It will be implemented on the funding pattern adopted in the case of Gurgaon, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh DMRC Metro extensions will be financed by way of Government of Haryana and Government of India in the ratio of 80:20. - PTI
