No personal grievance against Mamata: Somen

Dissident MP says he may rejoin the Congress party only after resigning his Lok Sabha membership

Dissident Trinamoool Congress MP, Somen Mitra, who announced his decision to resign from the party two days back said here on Sunday that he had no grievances against any of the party’s leaders, including its chairperson Mamata Banerjee.

“It is true that I will leave the Trinamool but I have no complaint against any individual.

“Neither do I have any grievance against party leader Ms. Banerjee and will not speak against her,” he told The Hindu .

However, Mr. Mitra, who had left the Congress in July 2008, has no plans of re-joining the party immediately. He is a former president of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee.
