The Goa Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has said that there has been no communication from the ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s said about his return from the US.

"There is no communication from his side. Exact date has not been specified. It will depends on doctors’ advice. His condition is good," South Goa BJP MP and party spokesperson Narendra Savoikar told presspersons at a press conference at the state BJP headquarters on Thursday.

"The statement of BJP spokesperson on Thursday would only keep the speculation over ailing Parrikar’s health condition in political circles on", said Congress spokesperson Ulhas Buyao, talking to The Hindu over the BJP statement on Thursday.

Referring to the petition submitted by Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar on Wednesday to Governor Mridua Sinha seeking dissolution of the three member Cabinet Advisory Committee presently looking after governance in the absence of ailing Chief Minister and, instead to appoint one minister as a replacement for ailing Chief Minister to run the government in his absence, Mr. Buyao said," BJP's today's statement only substantiates our demand with the Governor," adding," Hope that BJP national president Amit Shah during his Goa visit soon, takes cognisance of this situation and asks the BJP to appoint a minister to head the government, or people of Goa will come to the conclusion that beyond Mr. Parrikar BJP has no leadership left in Goa."

Mr. Parrikar is currently undergoing treatment at New York hospital where he was shifted in March, a month after he was first admitted for stomach pain, to the State run Goa Medical college hospital

BJP state president Vinay Tendulkar had last month said, that Mr. Parrikar would be returning to Goa by the end of May
