Joining the critical refrain from the BJP in light of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s speech, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar opened an offensive against the Congress on Thursday, saying he saw slim chance of the party bagging another term in the Parliament.

“The Congress has been in power for a long time. Despite their long tenure, they have not been able to provide potable water for all. People are suffering from hunger. Neither corruption nor inflation has been under control. Unemployment and inequality are on the rise. In such a situation, the claim that the Congress will find a solution to these problems is hollow,” Mr. Kumar said.
