Congress veteran and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister N. D. Tiwari has put his own party State government in a piquant situation when he sat on a dharna against poor health facility at a government-run hospital in Haldwani area.

Mr. Tiwari, his wife Ujjwala and son Rohit Shekhar gagged themselves and sat on a dharna outside Sushila Tiwari government hospital at Haldwani on Wednesday, in protest against the health facility’s poor condition. The hospital was named after Mr. Tiwari’s his first wife Sushila Tiwari. - PTI
