Police said the woman, a mother of two, had alleged that Mr. Dhoot molested and assaulted her, and attempted to rape her inside her house in Aurangabad on August 3. She had also accused him of threatening to kill her if she revealed the incident to others.
Mr. Chakre denied the woman’s allegations that the police refused to file a complaint. However, the court had warned of action against police officials if her charge was found to be true.
