Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Thursday said all preparations have been made to give a rousing reception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will arrive here on Friday.

“Mr. Modi will stay for about one hour before going to Tripura," he said. The Chief Minister is personally supervising the preparations at Hafta Kangjeibung ground in the heart of Imphal where Mr. Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting.

Mr. Singh said that the Prime Minister would inaugurate eight projects and lay foundation stones for four others. “Since some armed groups have called a boycott of the visit of the Prime Minister, we are leaving nothing to chance,” he added.

He also appealed to the people to occupy their seats by 11 a.m. to witness the launching of several developmental projects.

Among the important projects to be inaugurated by Mr. Modi are Integrated Check Post at Moreh and the Dolaithabi barrage.
