Some unidentified persons hurled bombs on Thursday afternoon at the house of Prakash Behera (Chakulia) who was recently exonerated in the sensational Kesav (Kesia) Behera murder case of 2013

A case has been registered and investigation is on, said sub-inspector Lambodar Majhi of the Lalbag police station. He said at least three bombs were exploded but no one was injured in the attack. The bomb attack is an outcome of some old rivalry, he said.

Chakulia along with two others were acquitted by an additional sessions court here on May 20 while five other accused arrested in Kesia murder case were sentenced life imprisonment. Kesia Behera, who was the secretary of Sheikh Bazaar puja committee, was shot near his house in the early hours of July 7, 2013. He had received six bullets and died while being rushed to hospital.
