July 20, 2014 12:23 am | Updated 12:26 am IST - NEW DELHI:

In a first of its kind exhibition, gadgets and armoury that police departments and security agencies can use have been put on display at the International Police Expo in Pragati Maidan.

The exhibition focused on all segments of security, including cyber security, communication and information technology, law enforcement, surveillance, protection, fire, disaster management, traffic and logistics.

One of the many things at display in the exhibition is the Integrated Command and Control Centre System, which can link a tetra set to the central control police room along with the camera surveillance system.

The technology has been designed in a way that as soon as a policeman reaches the crime spot, he will be able to communicate with the central command room and give them real-time information of the incident. A drone system called ‘Airpix’, which can record images from 300 m up in the air was also at display in the exhibition. The event saw participation from representatives of various police forces and security agencies from across the country.
