Apna Dal MP from Pratapgarh, Kunwar Harivansh Singh, has filed a First Information Report with the police fearing a threat to his life.
Mr. Singh has told the police that his personal assistant had been receiving death threats aimed at him.
The police have registered a case against an unidentified person and a probe has begun. Apna Dal, an alliance partner of the BJP in the State, has two MPs.
