June 25, 2015 02:37 am | Updated 07:38 am IST - Meerut:

A national-level kabaddi player on Wednesday alleged that she was attacked by a group of masked men after she complained against two men for harassing her.

She was attacked in Kanpur on June 15. The masked men ransacked her house and the shop run by her father last week.

The attack resulted in a cracked nose and other injuries. “Ujala Thakur and Rishi Gandhi had teased me last month when I visited my home. I am undergoing training in Delhi. I immediately complained to the police,” the kabaddi player told the media.

“Last week when they came to know that I was back in town, they sent about a dozen masked men to my house. They barged into my house on June 15 evening and thrashed me,” alleged the 18-year-old player.

According to her father Ashutosh Singh, the Kanpur police refused to file an FIR when his daughter approached them.
