Jigna Vora's custody extended

Journalist Jigna Vora, accused in the J Dey murder case, was on Friday remanded in further judicial custody till February 21.

The police will soon file a charge sheet against her as the 90-day period available to the prosecution is nearing its end. Ms. Vora was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on November 25, 2011.

“We are likely to file the charge sheet next week,” a senior crime branch official said.

The police already filed a charge sheet in the case against 10 arrested and two absconding accused last year.

Ms. Vora was produced in the court on Friday.
