IAS officer’s parents looted at gunpoint

About six unidentified armed miscreants allegedly looted cash and jewellery at gunpoint from the parents of an IAS officer posted at Jaipur, near here, the police said on Saturday.

The incident happened on Friday near Bawal in Haryana when the parents of IAS officer Gaurav Goyal, posted at Jaipur as Managing Director of Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation, were returning from Delhi to Jaipur in a car driven by their driver Jagdish, the police said.

About six armed miscreants in another car restrained Goyal’s father Ramesh Goyal, his mother and the driver and forcibly took their car into forest area of Ramsinghpura village, about 5 km from Bawal, the police said, adding that they looted cash and jewellery from them at gunpoint. - PTI
