Pre-placement offers have increased by more than 50 per cent this year at IIT-Kharagpur, an official said on Friday.
Compared to 92 such offers in 2014, students have so far got 142 pre-placement offers (PPOs) this season, said Prof. S.K. Barai, Chairman of Career Development Centre at the IIT.
The number of companies making PPOs has also crossed hundred this year, he said.
The highest package offered till now is Rs. 25 lakh, according to him.
Placement session will begin in December.
