Hot and sultry day in Delhi

With the maximum temperature soaring to 36.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, Delhiites witnessed a hot and sultry day on Saturday.

The minimum temperature in the Capital was recorded at 22.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, a Meteorological Department official said. Humidity levels oscillated between 47 per cent and 85 per cent. However, the weatherman has forecast clear skies on Sunday.

“The skies will be mainly clear. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday,” the weather official added.

On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees, while the minimum was 21.8 degrees. — PTI
